Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks staff recognizes players as the team's Offensive Player of the Week and the Hardest Worker of the Week.  

Christie Door Company Offensive Player of the Week: Ty Mason
On Sunday, Mason recorded his 10th multipoint game and fifth multigoal performance of the year during Waterloo's 5-2 win against the Des Moines Buccaneers.  Both goals were on the power play, giving him nine special teams scores.  Mason also had assists Saturday and Sunday, giving him four total points.

UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker: Drew Waterfield
The most momentous goal of the weekend may have been Waterfield's shorthanded goal at the end of the first period Sunday.  It put Waterloo ahead by multiple goals for the remainder of the night.  Waterfield finished the weekend with two goals and two assists.  He also owned a team-best +3 plus/minus differential.

Hardest Worker recognition is presented by UAW Local 838.  The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America.  Their message: American jobs are worth fighting for.
