The Black Hawks host their annual Hockey for Heroes Night on Saturday against the Dubuque Fighting Saints, presented by Christie Door Company.
During the 6:35 p.m. game, dozens of police, firefighters, and paramedics will represent departments from across the Cedar Valley. Families of first responders will receive discounted tickets for the game through a special promotional code sent to police and fire stations. At intermission, a variety of emergency vehicles will come onto the ice and make a lap around the playing surface.
"This is an event which provided wonderful recognition to some amazing people last season, and we look forward to making it bigger and better this year," said Black Hawks Director of Sales Jay Dobes. Following the game, meet select Waterloo players for autographs on the concourse as part of the Signature Saturday series. Fans aged 21 and over can enjoy $4 Party Town American Lager through the end of the first period.
