The first Waterloo Black Hawks Alumni Watch Party of the season will be Tuesday, October 20th at Pepper's Grill & Sports Pub in Cedar Falls.
The featured game that night will be the Los Angeles Kings against the Washington Capitols, with the opening faceoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Defenseman Mikey Anderson is in his eighth season with Los Angles. He skated in Waterloo for two years before the Kings selected him during the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
If Mikey Anderson scores a goal in the first period of next Tuesday's game, all fans in attendance wearing Black Hawks gear will win a prize. The same rules apply for other Hawks alumni during future watch parties.
"This is the 65th season of hockey in the Cedar Valley, and we've seen a lot of amazing players in that time," said Black Hawks Vice President of Communications Tim Harwood. "These watch parties at Pepper's are a great way to celebrate the former Hawks who are playing at the game's highest level."
