Black Hawks Players of the Week - 10/6

Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks staff recognizes players as the team's Offensive Player of the Week and the Hardest Worker of the Week.

Christie Door Company Offensive Player of the Week: Chase Jette
On Saturday, Jette scored the Black Hawks' goal during a 3-1 loss to the Madison Capitols. The first period tally was the first shorthanded goal of the season for Waterloo. Jette now leads the Black Hawks with four points (one goal, three assists) during Waterloo's first four games.

The weekly offensive honor is presented by Christie Door Company.  With roots in the Cedar Valley which stretch back into the 1950s, Christie Door Company offers the largest selection of quality door options at prices to meet their customers' budget.  Their motto is: Our Name Stands for Quality, Value is our Tradition!

UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker: Phileas Lachat
By stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced, Lachat kept the Black Hawks close once again. Despite suffering his first regulation loss of the season, the Swiss goalie improved his save percentage for the year up to .915. Lachat is now 1-1-1 with a 2.29 goals-against average.

Hardest Worker recognition is presented by UAW Local 838.  The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America.  Their message: American jobs are worth fighting for.
