Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks staff recognizes players as the team's Offensive Player of the Week and the Hardest Worker of the Week.  

Christie Door Company Offensive Player of the Week: Sal Viviano
The veteran forward had a team-high three points (one goal, two assists) during two Hawks road wins against the Fargo Force.  His go-ahead goal Friday put Waterloo in front for the first time just moments after a power play ended.  Saturday, Viviano had two power play assists.

UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker: Cody Sokol
Late in the third period last Friday, Sokol notched the first unassisted Black Hawks goal of the season.  The breakaway tally late in the third period proved to be the game-winner against Fargo.  Earlier in that game, Sokol had recorded an assist on Colin Dustin's power play goal, giving him three points through four games.

Hardest Worker recognition is presented by UAW Local 838.  The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America.  Their message: American jobs are worth fighting for.
