Black Hawks Players of the Week - 3/9

Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks staff recognizes players as the team's Offensive Player of the Week and the Hardest Worker of the Week.

Christie Door Company Offensive Player of the Week: Cullen Emery
Emery scored goals during both games against the Chicago Steel, finding the net in the second period of each contest.  He also notched an assist on Sunday, giving him a team-high three points on the weekend.  Emery is now the third Black Hawk with 10 goals this season.

The weekly offensive honor is presented by Christie Door Company.  With roots in the Cedar Valley which stretch back into the 1950s, Christie Door Company offers the largest selection of quality door options at prices to meet their customers' budget.  Their motto is: Our Name Stands for Quality, Value is our Tradition!

UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker: James Russell
Waterloo did not bring back a win from their three-game road weekend, but Russell still finished with a positive plus/minus (+1).  He also notched his second goal since being traded to the Hawks, and tacked on an assist.  Both of those points came during Waterloo's Sunday game in Chicago.

Hardest Worker recognition is presented by UAW Local 838.  The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America.  Their message: American jobs are worth fighting for.
