The Waterloo Black Hawks' annual New Year's Eve game will start at 6:35 p.m., but plan to arrive early to pick up a glow stick for the Cedar Valley's largest NYE family glow party.

Maple Lanes and Cadillac Xtreme Bowling Center are sponsoring the game.  All fans in attendance are also in for a little extra fun during the New Year.  Everyone will receive free arcade play redeemable for Cadillac Xtreme Games.  The arcade includes dozens of games, including both old favorites and new challenges.

Cadillac Xtreme Bowling Center is located at 650 La Porte Road and opens at noon and weekends and 3 p.m. during the week.  Maple Lanes is at 2608 University Avenue in Waterloo.

The Hawks' New Year's Eve matchup is against the Des Moines Buccaneers.  Waterloo has played at home on December 31st each winter since 1998, making hockey at Young Arena one of the most popular ways to welcome the New Year.  The 6:35 puck drop still provides fans with plenty of time to make it wherever they will be to watch midnight arrive.
