Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks staff recognizes players as the team's Offensive Player of the Week and the Hardest Worker of the Week.
Christie Door Company Offensive Player of the Week: Salvatore Viviano
After celebrating his college commitment to Northern Michigan, Viviano led the Black Hawks with five points (one goal, four assists) during two weekend games. He scored a goal and set up another in Omaha Friday, then had a USHL career-high three assists Saturday versus Sioux City.
The weekly offensive honor is presented by Christie Door Company. With roots in the Cedar Valley which stretch back into the 1950s, Christie Door Company offers the largest selection of quality door options at prices to meet their customers' budget. Their motto is: Our Name Stands for Quality, Value is our Tradition!
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker: Drew Waterfield
Waterfield's effort was essential to Waterloo's comeback win against the Musketeers at Young Arena Saturday night. He assisted on one goal, then scored the other during the Hawks' rally from a 4-2 deficit. In between, he forced Sioux City to take a penalty which nullified their power play.
Hardest Worker recognition is presented by UAW Local 838. The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America. Their message: American jobs are worth fighting for.
