Panther Purple in Party Town

Hawks Look Forward to Panther Pride Night

University of Northern Iowa students, staff, alumni, and fans are invited to Young Arena Saturday for the 2nd Annual Panther Pride Night when the Waterloo Black Hawks host the Dubuque Fighting Saints at 7:05 p.m.

All fans are encouraged to wear their purple and gold to the game and cheer on new University of Northern Iowa President Mark Nook as he drops the ceremonial first puck.  The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive purple and gold pom-poms.

“The University of Northern Iowa brings so many talented people to the Cedar Valley,” said Black Hawks Vice President of Business Operations Joe Greene.  “From fine arts to business to teacher education and more, our community is better off for the individuals who are here because of UNI, and we are excited to welcome past and present students, as well as faculty to Young Arena.

Panther mascots T.C. and T.K., as well as the UNI cheer squad, will also be on hand for the fun during Panther Pride Night.  Look for them on ice during intermission activities and contests, as well as on the arena concourse throughout the evening, mingling with Black Hawks fans.

Admission for those in attendance with a UNI student or staff ID will be just $7.  Orders are being accepted currently at the Domino’s Black Hawks Box Office, which can be reached at (319) 291-7680.
